Question
The number of discs in the bin shown in PTPublisher is not correct.

Answer

This error can occur occasionally if the discs placed in the input bin in the disc publisher are not the same thickness that the firmware is programed to detect and calculate. For example, a standard Taiyo Yuden CD is about 52 millimeters thick, while a standard Taiyo Yuden DVD is about 56 millimeters thick. The disc publisher is expecting a stack of 50 discs to be between 2.61 to 2.69 inches thick. If a stack of 50 discs in the input bin measures at 2.60 inches thick the disc publisher will report that there are only 49 discs available for the project.

This problem should not cause any additional errors. A warning dialogue will appear in PTPublisher when a job is launched that there may not be enough discs for the job. A user will only need to click through the warning and the job will complete as normal. If the disc publisher runs out of discs in the middle of a job, PTPublisher will pause the job and wait for the user to add more discs before continuing.
