When printing from Corel Draw, printer settings/preferences that are set or changed within Corel Draw do not affect printed output of an LX-Series printer.

Answer

When printing from Corel Draw, printer settings/preferences that are set or changed within Corel Draw do not affect printed output of an LX-Series printer.

This is correct.  This is a limitation of the Primera driver, Corel Draw or both.  You can work around the problem by following this procedure.

1. Before opening the Corel Draw file, change the printer preference defaults by going to Start - Printers and Faxes - Right Click the LX Printer - Choose Printing Preferences.  Now adjust settings such as Quality etc. here.  Click OK when finished.

2. Open the Corel Draw file.  Corel Draw reads the default printer settings for the LX printer when it first opens the Corel file and then saves those settings with the label.  While that file is open, settings cannot be changed through Corel or even through the method described in step 1.  If you want to change settings, close the Corel File, change the settings using the procedure in step 1 and then reopen the Corel file.
